Historia

The Aztec reserved cacao for the gods until the deity Quetzalcoatl let men taste it at his wedding; the gods retaliated by killing his wife; legend has it that Quetzalcoatl’s tears ran into the cacao tree and mixed with vanilla orchids to create a sacred potion
